Denise Johnston
OT Reg (NS), CPRC
With over three decades of experience as an Occupational Therapist, I have developed a broad and diverse clinical expertise across inpatient care, geriatrics, burn and polytrauma rehabilitation, and community-based practice. My work has taken me from hospital settings to clients’ homes, always with the goal of restoring independence, confidence, and meaningful daily life.
I am also a Certified Professional Retirement Coach, with a particular passion for supporting individuals as they navigate the transition into retirement and explore what the next chapter can hold.
Throughout my career, I have been guided by a holistic understanding of health — recognizing that well-being is shaped not only by physical recovery, but by purpose, routine, relationships, and identity. By blending occupational therapy with retirement and life transition coaching, I offer a comprehensive and grounded approach to supporting adults through change.
Outside of my professional life, I find balance in outdoor pursuits, time with my three adult children and close friends, travel, and a good cup of coffee and a book.
