Perinatal Occupational Therapy

Pregnancy and new parenthood bring major changes to daily life, with everyday activities, routines, and roles becoming more demanding or harder to manage during this time.

Pregnancy and postpartum occupational therapy supports the birthing person with practical strategies to function more comfortably and sustainably, through the fourth trimester and beyond. Whether this is your first birth or your third, occupational therapy can help you find your rhythm in this new season of life.

Let us be a part of your village.

  • Are pregnant and finding daily activities more physically or mentally demanding

  • Are recovering from a birthing injury or c-section and aren’t sure how to manage your new caregiving role in a way that is safe for your body

  • Have developed hand, wrist, or arm pain during pregnancy or post-partum

  • Know that you need to “take time for you” but aren’t sure how self-care fits into your new routine

  • Are dealing with “mom brain” and are looking for strategies to manage cognitive changes

  • Are experiencing sensory overload, fatigue, pain, or functional limitations that are affecting daily life

  • Are returning to work while navigating caregiving responsibilities

  • Are experiencing a shift in identity and are seeking ways to feel more like “you” amidst the chaos

  • Education on body mechanics for lifting, carrying, feeding, and caregiving activities
