Aging Well
Aging isn’t a loss to manage, but a milestone to meet well.
While true, it might not always feel that way when you’re living with a chronic or progressive condition, or simply the physical and cognitive changes that come with age. Additionally, milestones such as retirement or caring for an aging parent or sick loved one can alter a person’s sense of role identity and lead to role strain or conflict that can be difficult to sort out.
If you or a loved one are experiencing a change in function or independence, occupational therapy can help you get back to what is most important.
At New Moon, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities and maintain their independence, however that looks to them, and whatever stage of life they are in.
