Aging Well & Caregiver Education

Changes in balance, strength, vision, mobility, or cognition — whether from aging, illness, injury, or a progressive condition — can affect safety, confidence, and independence at home. Many people want to remain in their own homes and communities for as long as possible, and many families are navigating how to support a loved one well, at every stage.

Occupational therapy offers proactive, person-centered strategies to support safety, independence, and quality of life, from early prevention through end-of-life care.

  • Feel unsteady or worried about falling, or have had a recent fall or near-miss

  • Notice changes in balance, strength, mobility, or cognition

  • Want to remain living safely and independently at home

  • Are recovering from illness, injury, or hospitalization

  • Are living with a chronic, progressive, or life-limiting condition

  • Are a family member, caregiver, or organization seeking guidance or training to support a loved one or client
